Bring Back Access to Justice for Working Class

  •  Re-open / new build closed down Magistrates and Crown courts. 
  • Buy from local businesses, small to medium independent retailers, the requirements of courts admin. 

  • Abolish Family Courts. 
  • Keep UK in European Convention of Human Rights (non-EU). 
  • Keep UK under European Court of Human Rights (non-EU organisation). 
  • Bring CEDAW rights of women and girls into UK domestic law. 
  • Add ageist sexism (misogyny) inside CEDAW law to women aged over 50. 
  • Retain Human Rights Act. 
  • Retain Judicial Reviews – High Court, Appeals Court, Supreme Court.  

  • Repeal Judicial Review and Courts Bill if passed, which would include inability to challenge a wrongful deportation decision. 

  • Reintroduce funding for preparation of judicial review cases. 

REPEALING (GET RID OF) UNJUST LAWS 
  • Repeal Elections Bill that includes making voter ID mandatory in polling stations and putting Electoral Commission under control of a political party in government. 
  • Repeal Online Safety Bill, that ends online freedom of speech. 
  • Repeal Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill (the bill to ban protests) and other bills added to it.  
  • Repeal amendment to Official Secret Acts, against leaked documents of government dealings being reported by journalists.  

DOMESTIC ABUSE COURT CASES
  • Law to end cross examination of victims of domestic violence by their abuser. 

DIVORCE CASES

• No-fault divorce procedure. 


EXTINCTION REBELLION, INSULATE and BLACK LIVES MATTER COURT CASES
  • Release from Prison and Clear criminal damage convictions from police (and other authorities’) records of Extinction Rebellion, Insulate and Black Lives Matter activists, in formal protests. 

JULIAN ASSANGE

  • If Julian Assange is still in prison, free Julian Assange, with full pardon. 
  • Grant Julian Assange and his wife and children, free UK NHS mental health and general health care. 

Legal Aid

  • Return and enhance Legal Aid. 
Legal aid is when the state steps in to help meet the costs of legal advice and representation in court to ensure a fair trial for defendants, who otherwise might not be able to afford support.

  • As Legal Aid funded defence, lawyers have not seen a fee rise for 20 years, there is (in 2021) dire shortage of lawyers. Raise Legal Aid fees to defence lawyers.

LAW AND NHS PATIENTS

  • Repeal laws of criminal Kidnap if you take your child or adult relative out of NHS hospital or care home. 

  • Make DNR notice / Liverpool Care Pathway first degree murder, by conspiracy / joint enterprise, between doctor (giving permission in medical records) and nursing staff who undertake to starve and thirst the patient to death. 

  • If not going to treat patient, then discharge from hospital with NHS ongoing healthcare at home. Law to make Right to Food generally, to include in NHS and private hospitals. 

  • Hospital Patient Charter backed by law, giving right to demand treatment, as well as right to be fed and hydrated when in hospital. 

  • Abusive patients, physically attacking medical staff, are exempted from right to demand treatment, by law. 

  • Secure unit orders for drug addicts, not imprisonment, for treatment to help them kick their addiction.
